MEDIA FILTRATION

Pressure Sand Filters (Multigrade Sand filter)

Pressure sand filters are designed to remove the turbidity from water, The pressure sand filters consist of a multiple layer of graded sand & Pebbles. These filters are designed to remove the turbidity and suspended particles in the water with minimum pressure drop. These filters are available in Mild steel, FRP or SS construction and with manual and auto operation.

Activated Carbon Filters

Activated Carbon Filter are designed to remove free chlorine, organic matter, Odour and colour present in the raw water & Wastewater. Due to its high degree of micro porosity, activated carbon provides a large surface area for adsorption.  It consists of Activated Carbon granules supported by fine quartz filter media. Various grade of carbon is available for specialized treatment. These filters are available in Mild steel, FRP or SS construction and with manual and auto operation.

Dual Carbon Filters

The Dual Media Filter utilizes combination of Filter Media and Anthracite for higher flow rate with a smaller footprint, High filtration velocities are achieved by proper selection of Media and designing of distribution and collection systems, These filters are available in Mild steel, FRP or SS construction and with manual and auto operation.

REVERSE OSMOSIS

Reverse osmosis ( RO) is a water purification process that removes ions, unwanted molecules and larger particles from drinking water using a partially permeable membrane. As a result, the solute is kept on the membrane’s pressurized side and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side. In reverse osmosis, an applied pressure is used to overcome osmotic pressure. As per output quality requirement, RO system is also used with a combination of 2 pass RO, RO + MB unit, RO + DM.

ULTRA FILTRATION

Ultra filtration (UF) is a variety of membrane filtration in which forces like pressure lead to a separation through a semi permeable membrane. The suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained in the retentate while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane into the permeate. Industries such as Chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing and wastewater treatment, employ ultrafiltration to recycle or add value to later products.

DIMINERALIZATION

Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salt from water by using the ion exchange process. With most natural sources it is possible to use demineralization and reduce water of a higher quality than conventional distillation. MSSIPL manufactures a wide range of custom – built dematerialized water plants in India for industrial process water applications, with inherent design to conserve water and save costs.

SOFTENING

Calcium and magnesium salt are low soluble in water, known as hardness. In case of temperature or pH increase, these salt get precipitated to cause scaling. In case total dissolved solids in water are within the limits of application, the calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged with sodium ions and this process is known as softening. As a result, total dissolved solids remain same, but get converted in form of highly soluble sodium salt. The softening unit consist of cation exchanger which is regenerated with sodium chloride salt, for restoring sodium ions in resin bed. Its application mainly for cooling and low-pressure boiler feed. The system is available with manual and automatic operation.

FLUORIDE REMOVAL

Fluoride enters in the aquatic system in dissolved form because of the industrial discharge from aluminium industries, phosphate industries, coal plants etc. As per IS 10500 standard the desirable limit for fluoride is 1 ppm and permissible limit is 1.5 ppm in drinking water. ion in drinking water can affect the health of a person adversely. Our media-based system is designed to achieve the permissible limit of fluoride. The system is available with manual and automatic operation.

NITRATE REMOVAL

The recommended nitrate level in water is below 50 mg/L, Specially for babies. Their digestive systems are immature and thus more likely to allow the reduction of nitrate to nitrite. The presence of nitrite in the digestive tract can cause methemoglobinemia. Our media-based system is designed to achieve the permissible limit of Nitrate. The system is available with manual and automatic operation.

IRON/Mn Removal

Our Iron/Mn removal can be retrofit existing systems to add Fe / Mn removal capability. The continuous oxidation facilitates electron exchange. The catalytic media ensures maximum utilization of oxidative agent. The precipitated iron & manganese can be easily removed by simple backwashing process. The System can handle up to 20 ppm Fe @ inlet and can deliver < 0.1 ppm Fe @ outlet.
